Welcome to Amatsu For Health - a therapy that balances the body to restore health

Are you experiencing back pain, knee pain or discomfort with your hip? Do you have a reoccurring ankle injury or an ongoing health complaint that's getting you down? Amatsu therapy could be just what your body needs.
" I tried many different treatments before Amatsu, but it was Amatsu Therapy that finally gave my ankle its strength back so I could run confidently again. "  (S Turner, Berkshire)

What is Amatsu therapy & why is it such an effective treatment?

Picture
Amatsu is an incredibly effective soft tissue therapy that looks at the whole body to identify and address any imbalances.  It uses a variety of diagnostic tools to evaluate and assess exactly what your body is doing in response to muscles being too tight or too weak, fascia that is caught and unable to move freely, or in response to pain causes by injury or trauma. During a treatment, an Amatsu practitioner will find the most effective way to restore balance back to your body with minimum intervention. This is because the body integrates minimal corrections far better, leading to longer lasting results.  Amatsu Therapy corrections use specific movement and massage, applied uniquely with natural body movement, loosening over-tight muscles or fascia, and waking up muscles that aren’t working optimally. This restores correct tensions and compressions within the body allowing the whole physical structure, through biotensegrity, to realign. Muscles, fascia, tendons, and ligaments can once again work naturally, and in turn, joints and organs can ‘float’ in their own space and can function efficiently. The result? The body is given exactly the right reminder it needs to heal itself.  You can read more about Amatsu here.

What health conditions can Amatsu therapy help?

The very nature of an Amatsu treatment, restoring balance (biotensegrity) to the body as described above, means that there is no reason why Amatsu can't help improve most health complaints or medical problems.  No promises are made, just like when you see your Doctor as no two bodies or lives are the same. You only have to read and listen to my client reviews to appreciate that Amatsu offers something amazing and different from other therapies.  A few of the common health problems that Amatsu has been known to improve are
  • Back pain
  • Knee pain
  • ITB problems
  • IBS (irritable bowel syndrome)
  • Shoulder and other joint problems
  • Sports injuries including sprained ankles
  • Neck pain
  • Low energy
  • Sciatica
  • Low immune systems
  • Poor sleep
  • Flexibility and stability issues
  • Balance problems or always bumping into things
  • Tinnitus
  • Skin conditions
  • Headaches / migraines

Never heard of Amatsu?

You're definitely not the only one.  Amatsu therapy has only been in the UK since the 1980s and the number of Amatsu practitioners is still relatively few, albeit thanks to the Award Winning Amatsu Training School based in Hertfordshire, this number is steadily growing across the UK.  All Amatsu practitioners are working hard, together with our association Amatsu Therapy International (UK), to raise awareness of Amatsu therapy so we can help more people recover from back pain, knee injuries or bad necks (to name just a few) and live a healthier and happier life.

We're also very lucky to have Jane Langston as our Amatsu Ambassador, for she is not only an exceptional Amatsu practitioner, a former biomedical scientist, but also Director of the Amatsu Training School, Co-founder of unique Anatomy & Physiology courses at Learn Anatomy, as well as Co-author of the book Making Sense of Human Anatomy.

Listen to Jane's story here as she's interviewed by Kris from the Busy Hive podcast.
